As I've thought about your earlier comment I realize that instead of apologizing, as any gentleman would, you have tried to find an excuse to blame your poor manners on me. I know I looked at you. I also looked at the instructors, who were to my right. I would guess that everyone else did, too. Otherwise, why would they be up there demonstrating? Even if I didn't look at you, how could that make you unable to dance? Sorry, but that excuse is nonsense. The only other thing I remember about our unfortunate and brief partnership is that you kept trying to tell me how to do the steps. I had learned them before in a class and after the first time or two through, I knew it just fine. I find it odd when people take on the role of instructor uninvited, especially when they are not experienced dancers. I find that annoying, so perhaps that is why I was not gazing adoringly into your eyes the entire time.
Well, sorry if I didn't look at you enough, but I've never heard anyone say before that it made him unable to dance. Maybe I look at other men enough, I don't know. I was told by my dance teachers to look at the man's chest when spotting. To me, that was still no excuse for saying "I need to go over here" and walking off to leave me standing there and not coming back. I've been dancing various types of partner dance for over 20 years and nobody ever did that before.
