No wait, that's the hokey pokey. So help a complete salsa newbie out. Got interested through the group Leah started on Meetup.com but haven't been able to make a meeting yet. Single parent of 3 so time is a precious commodity. Can anyone recommend an affordable place with flexible hours for beginner lessons?

Welcome to the group! If you are able to make a salsa night at the Rev Room on Wednesdays, we have separate beginner and slightly more advanced lessons each time at around 7:45 p.m. Sarah Catherine and I also teach the intermediate class at the Let's Dance studio, although it's preferable to have a little knowledge of the basics before taking that class. Hey John! So sorry, I have been meaning to write you back:) so I'm glad I checked on here today. Just a busy few weeks! Sarah-Catherine and Andy teach a beginner/intermediate salsa class every Saturday from 5 to 6pm I believe at Let's Dance Dance Studio on Cantrell and Mississippi. I'm pretty sure it's posted in events on here. It's a drop in schedule so you don't have to make every class, though of course they will build on the things they've learned in previous classes. But it's perfectly flexible beyond that:).

If you have any other questions, do ask:)! I promise I wont take as long to answer and probably someone from here will jump in as well:).

Andy - Wed nights are out for me but I'll YouTube some of the basics and see how a Saturday session goes.

Leah - no prob, figured you were busy. I'm going to do my best to make the Meetup on the 28th and hopefully I'll know the difference between on 1 and on 2 by then. ;-)
